Zulkifli Hasan confirms APBN funding for village cooperative managers

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan announced that salaries for managers of the Merah Putih village cooperatives (Kopdes) will be funded through the state budget (APBN). The funds will be distributed via the state-owned enterprise PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero) through state capital injections.

These managers will serve as contract employees under a fixed-term employment agreement (PKWT) for a duration of two years. Monthly income is expected to range between Rp6.3 million and Rp8.3 million, depending on the specific region and local minimum wage considerations.

Separately, the organization Panggung Indonesia has recognized Zulkifli Hasan as the best coordinating minister within the Red and White Cabinet. The group cited his ability to orchestrate various ministries to achieve food self-sufficiency and his leadership in programs such as the Free Nutritious Meal initiative. The assessment suggested his performance makes him a potential candidate to accompany President Prabowo in the 2029 presidential election.
