Zwift announces hardware updates and new Ride V2 smart frame

Zwift has announced a series of updates to its indoor cycling platform and hardware, headlined by the introduction of the Zwift Ride V2. The new smart frame maintains a price point of €1,199.99 in Europe but offers significantly improved adjustability. Key hardware upgrades include a more compact frame suitable for riders between 146 cm and 198 cm, and a new crankset system offering five different lengths: 160, 165, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm.

Existing Zwift Ride owners can upgrade their setup by purchasing the new adjustable cranks and redesigned seatpost separately. Beyond hardware, the platform is expanding its digital ecosystem. Software updates include a redesigned Zwift Companion app interface, the expansion of the Watopia virtual environment by 18 kilometers, and integration with WHOOP to provide training recommendations based on recovery data. Additional features such as ‘Watt Lock’ for power management and ‘Power Play’ are also expected to roll out.
