2026-27 Carabao Cup fourth round schedule

The fourth round of the Carabao Cup is scheduled to take place between Tuesday, 27 October and Thursday, 29 October 2026.

Arsenal, currently Premier League champions tied at the top of the table with Manchester City, will travel to Highbury Stadium to face League Two side Fleetwood Town on Tuesday. This match marks the first time the two clubs have met in any competition. Fleetwood Town enters the match as the only remaining fourth-division team in the competition, having eliminated Chesterfield, Shrewsbury Town, and Sheffield United without conceding a goal. While Fleetwood has struggled in recent domestic matches, manager Matt Lawlor has encouraged his players to embrace the historic occasion. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, following a 2-0 victory over Everton, is expected to rotate his squad and has warned against complacency, potentially providing minutes to young talents such as Max Dowman.

Other notable matchups include Manchester City against Brighton, Bournemouth against Aston Villa, and Everton against Newcastle United. A high-profile tie between Liverpool and Chelsea is scheduled for Wednesday, 28 October at Anfield. Chelsea will be missing Cole Palmer due to a suspension following a red card against Spurs, alongside Emiliano Martinez and Reece James, while Joao Pedro remains a doubt. Liverpool faces uncertainty regarding Florian Wirtz due to an ankle injury sustained against Brighton.

Broadcasting for the round will be led by Sky Sports, with the Liverpool vs Chelsea match also available on ITV1 and ITVX.
