2026 AFL and AFLW Draft Combine announcements

Overview

The Australian Football League (AFL) released the invitee lists for the 2026 Telstra AFL and AFLW Draft Combines. The national events are scheduled to occur in Melbourne from September 29 to October 3, featuring club interviews at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and physical testing at the State Netball & Hockey Centre.

For the national AFL Combine, 63 prospects have been selected, including 38 from Victoria. The AFLW Combine will include 46 players, 20 of whom are from Victoria. Testing protocols for the AFLW will include a modified 1.6km time trial to better reflect match running patterns, while the AFL distance remains at 2km. Additional players will participate in state-level combines in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
