2026 Austrian and German beer festivals

In July 2026 Vienna’s Ottakringer Brauerei announced its annual Bierfest, running from early July to early September with a wide range of its own brews, food stalls, live music and novelty activities such as beer‑yoga and a mass‑pour record attempt. Munich’s historic Oide Wiesn was slated for late September to early October, featuring classic early‑20th‑century rides, traditional tents with brass and folk music, and family‑friendly pricing.

By early August, German regional festivals were reporting the outcomes of the season’s events. Prices for a Maß rose to a record €12.20 at the Allgäuer Festwoche in Kempten, while attendance far exceeded expectations at venues such as Hohenkammer’s Open Air. The Frankfurt Oktoberfest unveiled a full 2026 program with high‑profile musical acts and a special “Ladies Wiesn.” Munich’s main Oktoberfest introduced new offerings, including a tiramisu‑served beer mug and a partnership with Kurpfalzbräu to serve over 60,000 mugs. Other regional fairs, from Bayreuth’s Seebühnenfestival to Wiesbaden‑Dotzheim’s Freudenberger Oktoberfest, highlighted large visitor numbers and themed entertainment.

In September, Frankfurt’s Oktoberfest detailed its 2026 lineup, with Schlager star Mickie Krause headlining the opening day on 9 September, followed by 1980s‑era acts such as Markus and Geier Sturzflug, and a rotating roster including Almklausi, Natascha Wright, the Heartbeats and Captain Jack. The program also featured themed days—Ladies Wiesn, a “Lauda Wiesn” with Almklausi, and a “Festzeltfieber” weekend—culminating in a final celebration on 11 October.
