The 2026 Campeonato Intermunicipal football competition is progressing through its group stages. In late August, the Feira de Santana selection team completed preparations for a match against Amélia Rodrigues following a scoreless draw against Santanópolis. By mid-September, the tournament reached the final round of the group stage. In Group 6, Feira de Santana sought a victory against Santanópolis to overtake them in the standings. Concurrently, the Barrocas selection, which remained undefeated, competed for group leadership alongside Serrinha and Santa Bárbara. On September 19, Feira de Santana secured second place in Group 6 following a 4-1 victory over Santanópolis at the Joia da Princesa stadium. Goals were scored by Gabriel Matos, Iago Sá (two), and Adriano. This win advances the team to the second phase, where they are scheduled to face Capim Grosso in an elimination match. Separately, the Feira de Santana City Hall has reinstated the Joia da Princesa Consortium, which includes Webfoco Telecomunicações Ltda. and Fluminense de Feira SAF, following an administrative appeal. A legal review by the Municipal Attorney General's Office determined that the SAF was not required to publish financial statements in official gazettes or large newspapers, as digital publication on the company's website is sufficient. The consortium is now qualified to compete for the management concession of the Alberto Oliveira stadium.
