2026 international sailing and yachting awards
Overview
Various sailing and yachting organizations have initiated their 2026 award cycles across different regions. In late September, the Yacht Harbour Association announced winners for its Marina Awards in several categories, including Poole Quay Boat Haven and Parkstone Bay Marina. Simultaneously, New Zealand’s Barfoot & Thompson Yachting Excellence Awards selected recipients, and US Sailing opened nominations for its Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year awards.
By late October, World Sailing announced the finalists for its 2026 awards, which include the Rolex World Sailor of the Year and the Team of the Year. Finalists such as Martin Wrigley and Bettine Harris were named following their 470 World Championship victory. The winners are scheduled to be announced during a ceremony in Qingdao, China, on November 18, 2026, following a combination of expert judging and public voting.
