The 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy, have progressed through various disciplines on the Black Snake track. In the men’s elite downhill, Muñoz secured 12th place, notably recording the fastest time of the day in the first intermediate sector with a mark of 26.917. Additional developments during the XCO events included Liechtenstein’s Felix Sprenger being forced out of competition due to a technical chain issue, and Canadian downhill rider Gracey Hemstreet withdrawing from her discipline due to the physical toll of the event.
