2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships

In the Elite Men’s XCO race, Great Britain’s Thomas Pidcock took the gold medal, followed by teammate Charlie Aldridge in second and Canada’s Cole Punchard in third. Bjorn Riley was the highest-placing American in the men's field, finishing 19th.

As the downhill events continued, Colombian cyclists Valentina Roa and Juan Fernando Muñoz delivered strong performances. In the women’s elite downhill, Roa finished 11th out of 38 participants. In the men’s elite downhill, Muñoz secured 12th place, notably recording the fastest time of the day in the first intermediate sector with a mark of 26.917.

Additional developments during the XCO events included Liechtenstein’s Felix Sprenger being forced out of competition due to a technical chain issue, and Canadian downhill rider Gracey Hemstreet withdrawing from her discipline due to the physical toll of the event.
