2026 UCI road cycling races

Entities: Turkish Sailing Federation · Istanbul · Ordu Metropolitan Municipality · Turkish Cycling Federation · Eker Dairy Products

Overview

In late July 2026 the historic Ordizia Classic held its 103rd edition in the Basque town of Ordizia, Spain. Nineteen teams entered, including four WorldTour squads—UAE Team Emirates, Movistar Team, Jayco‑Alula and XDS Astana—alongside regional squads. Defending champion Igor Arrieta sought a second title on a 167‑km circuit featuring several steep climbs, and the race was streamed live on YouTube.

A few weeks later, in early August, the Turkish Black Sea city of Ordu announced it would host two UCI‑sanctioned one‑day road races—the Ordu Coast to Summit and the Ordu Black Sea Classic—on 15‑16 August. Organized by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Cycling Federation, the events are part of the 2026 UCI calendar and will attract professional cyclists from 24 teams representing 32 countries. The races offer world‑ranking points and are expected to raise the city’s international profile and tourism.

Together these events illustrate the breadth of the 2026 UCI road racing programme, ranging from long‑standing European classics to newly introduced races in emerging cycling venues.
