The tournament features a 128-player draw for both men and women. In the women’s division, defending champion and world number one Aryna Sabalenka is a major favorite, facing competition from Iga Świątek, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, and Karolina Muchová. Notably, Serena Williams is expected to return to Flushing Meadows for the first time in four years.

The men’s field includes Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, and Carlos Alcaraz, who is working toward a return following a wrist injury. Other notable competitors include Ben Shelton and rising players such as Joao Fonseca and Arthur Fils.
