Investigations by the Organized Crime Combat Management (GCCO/Draco) revealed that Rio de Janeiro served as an operational hub for command, logistics, and protection. The operation resulted in nine preventive arrest warrants and the seizure of luxury vehicles, including a Porsche Boxster GTS, valued at approximately R$ 1.5 million. Authorities noted the group’s significant military capacity, including the use of restricted-use rifles. Additionally, the Federal Police launched Operação Bóreas to dismantle a criminal organization managing international air logistics for drugs and firearms. The group is suspected of transporting cocaine and weapons from Bolivia and Peru into Brazil via aircraft and clandestine airstrips. The operation led to the arrest of a Cuiabá entrepreneur, Thatiana Rabelo Mesquita Theodoro, and the seizure of aircraft and assets, with requests for ten suspects to be included in Interpol’s Red Notice system. During searches, police seized R$ 84,800 in cash at the entrepreneur's residence. The investigation is linked to previous drug seizures in Tocantins and involves cooperation with law enforcement in Pará. Expanding the scope of multi-state investigations, ‘Operation Caput Serpentis’ was launched to target a criminal faction operating across Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Goiás, Tocantins, and São Paulo.
