Chase Sapphire Reserve benefit updates

Overview

Chase is implementing several updates to the benefits associated with the Sapphire Reserve credit card.

In August 2026, the company updated the terms for the $500 annual ‘The Edit’ hotel credit. The new rules aim to prevent users from utilizing a workaround involving consecutive bookings. Specifically, back-to-back reservations at the same hotel will no longer be treated as separate stays if the second reservation begins within 24 hours of the first stay’s checkout. This change ensures that such instances are classified as a single stay, qualifying only the first booking for the credit.

Following this, Chase announced an update to the card’s DoorDash benefit. Effective October 1, 2026, the existing $5 monthly restaurant credit will be replaced by a $15 monthly credit. This new credit offers increased flexibility by allowing use for both restaurant and non-restaurant purchases, such as grocery and retail orders. This adjustment increases the total monthly DoorDash benefit from $25 to $35.
