In Bremerhaven, Germany, an apartment fire in a multi-family building on Hafenstraße led to the hospitalization of 18 people, including children, due to suspected smoke inhalation. Emergency services categorized the event as a “mass casualty incident” to coordinate the response, and firefighters used life-saving equipment to rescue nine residents from the building.

In Hamburg, a major fire broke out in a vacant hotel on Adenauerallee in the St. Georg district. In Linz, Austria, a residential fire on Bethlehemstraße, likely caused by a cigarette, resulted in burns to a 45-year-old man who was attempting to use a fire extinguisher.
