Senasa corruption investigation in Dominican Republic

Investigations into a corruption scheme involving the National Health Insurance (Senasa) in the Dominican Republic have led to several high-profile legal developments.

Prosecutor Aurelio Valdez Alcántara resigned from the Ministerio Público following allegations that he accepted a US$10,000 bribe from a witness to influence investigations.
