Thomas Gottschalk cancer recovery

Overview

German television presenter Thomas Gottschalk has been confirmed cancer-free following a recent medical examination. A second Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan showed no remaining traces of epithelioid angiosarcoma, a rare cancer affecting blood vessel cells in the urinary tract that he was diagnosed with in late 2025.

Following his treatment, which included multiple surgeries and 33 radiation sessions, Gottschalk made a public appearance at Oktoberfest with his wife, Karina. He reported that his health is improving daily, describing his condition as ‘excellent’. While the couple remains vigilant regarding potential recurrence, Gottschalk has noted he is still in the process of recovery.
