Classical music performances in Brazil

Overview

Various Brazilian orchestras are conducting a series of classical music performances and commemorative events.

In late September 2026, the Orquestra Sinfônica de Indaiatuba scheduled a performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’, while the Orquestra Sinfônica da Amazônia launched its ‘Amazonia Series’ in Manaus. This series features works by Edvard Grieg and world premieres by Brazilian composers André Mehmari and Lipe Portinho to highlight regional musical diversity.

By late September and early October, programming expanded to include educational and tribute-focused events. The Orquestra Sinfônica da Paraíba – Jovem scheduled a concert featuring a narrated suite for children, ‘Blim Blem Blom’, alongside works by Vincent D’Indy and Johann Svendsen. Additionally, the Orquestra Sinfônica da USP hosted the IV Camargo Guarnieri Week in São Paulo, a series of concerts and lectures dedicated to honoring the orchestra’s founder, Mozart Camargo Guarnieri.
