Overview
In late September 2026, a violent collision between a car and a motorcycle on State Road 355 in Sappada resulted in the death of a 48-year-old passenger. The motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Udine.
On October 15, 2026, another fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred in Cavour on the SP 151. The collision involved two cars and a van. While a woman and her infant son escaped without serious injury, a 61-year-old woman passed away after being airlifted to a hospital in Turin. Carabinieri are investigating the circumstances of both incidents.
