Historical reenactments in Spain

Overview

Historical reenactment events continue to be held in various Spanish locations to commemorate significant figures from the 15th and 16th centuries.

In Segovia, preparatory workshops including theater and historical dance sessions were organized to facilitate a reenactment of the proclamation of Isabel I as Queen of Castile.

In Alcaraz, the ‘Alcaraz Renacentista’ event was organized to mark the 500th anniversary of Empress Isabel de Portugal taking possession of the Lordship of Alcaraz, featuring approximately 160 reenactors. This event has entered its third edition in Albacete, continuing the celebration of Isabel de Portugal’s arrival in the region.
