Overview

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) confirmed that Istanbul, Turkey, will host the 2027 Spanish Super Cup at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium from February 2 to February 7, 2027. This relocation is a temporary measure because Saudi Arabia will be hosting the AFC Asian Cup during that period. The tournament is expected to return to Saudi Arabia in 2028.

Despite the change in venue, the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) will remain involved through its official sponsor, Riyadh Season. Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the GEA, stated the agreement is part of a strategy to build an international profile through major sporting events and expressed gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his support. The 2027 competition will feature FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, and Real Sociedad.
