Abruzzo viticulture festivals and conferences

In late July 2026, the Abruzzo region focused on its viticultural heritage through the 54th ‘Baccano’ edition of the Montepagano Wine Fair and an organic wine conference in Rocca di Botte.

The Montepagano event, which took place over three days in the historic village, featured more than 30 local wineries, wine tastings, and masterclasses curated by Matteo Gallello. The program also included the presentation of the book ‘Immortale. Il cammino di un vino millenario’ by Mariarosa Dei Svaldi.

Organizers reported that the show attracted over 15,000 visitors, noting significant engagement from a knowledgeable and curious audience, particularly among younger attendees. The 2026 edition is part of an ongoing renewal process supported by the Roseto degli Abruzzi municipal administration and Trigono Srls.

By early August, reports confirmed that the Montepagano festival contributed to a trend of high attendance and record-breaking numbers for regional wine festivals across Italy, serving as a key driver for local tourism and the promotion of viticultural traditions.
