Academy of Sports Patras A2 handball season

Overview

The Academy of Sports Patras began its 14th season in the men’s A2 national handball category. At the start of the season, Club President Christos Devellegas highlighted significant financial challenges, noting that travel expenses for competing against Attica-based teams were nine times higher than those of their opponents.

During an early match, the team suffered a 30-33 defeat against Ilisiakos. Coach Giannis Papagiannopoulos attributed the loss to a lack of composure during a critical seven-to-eight-minute period in the final fifteen minutes of the game, where fundamental errors allowed the opponents to extend their lead.
