Acquisition of Azur Drones by French companies

Overview

The French drone manufacturer Azur Drones underwent a series of ownership changes following a judicial reorganization.

Initially, Drone Volt acquired Azur Drones for 160,000 euros at the Bordeaux Commercial Court. This acquisition allowed Drone Volt to integrate the ‘Skeyetech’ autonomous ‘drone-in-a-box’ system into its portfolio, which is used by various clients for surveillance and inspection.

Subsequently, Tonner Drones entered a binding agreement to acquire Azur Drones from Drone Volt in a cash-funded transaction. This deal, structured through a liquidation proceeding, includes all assets, technology, and key personnel. Under the new arrangement, a strategic partnership was established to exploit the ‘Drone in a box’ technology. Commercial rights have been divided geographically: Drone Volt retains exclusive worldwide rights for the civilian sector outside of Europe, while Azur Drones will manage the European market and lead defense-sector activities.
