Activities of Prince William and Princess of Wales

Overview

Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, have transitioned to a new residence at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, providing the family with increased space and privacy. This move follows their previous residence at Adelaide Cottage, which they occupied after leaving Kensington Palace in 2022.

Following recent health challenges, including a cancer diagnosis for the Princess of Wales, the couple has increased their joint public and private engagements to re-establish their shared public role and diplomatic presence. Catherine has supported organizations such as the Forward Trust during Addiction Awareness Week and attended the Digger premiere in London. Prince William has also increased his visibility following the return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the UK in September 2026; some observers have noted this as an attempt to maintain a positive public image.

To manage their public presence alongside the activities of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple has occasionally opted for more discreet official engagements. In terms of international duties, the couple is expected to travel to Mumbai, India, for the sixth Earthshot Prize ceremony. While Kensington Palace has not officially confirmed her attendance, observers view the Princess's potential participation as a demonstration of her return to health and a display of diplomatic soft power.

Privately, the couple has held meetings at Windsor Castle with Sarah Henwood, the CEO of The Royal Foundation, to support her transition into her new leadership role. Additionally, Prince William recently shared personal details about family life on The Graham Norton Show, noting his children's interest in the program ‘The Celebrity Traitors’.
