Adobe Acrobat AI feature integration

Adobe has released Japanese versions of two new AI-driven features for Adobe Acrobat: ‘Chat-based PDF Operations’ and ‘Generate Podcast.’

The ‘Chat-based PDF Operations’ feature enables users to execute tasks such as deleting pages, replacing text, adding signatures, and converting files to Word using natural language instructions. This follows a 2026 Adobe survey indicating that approximately 79% of PDF users expressed interest in AI chat operations, with specific interest noted for OCR (84%) and Word conversion (82%).

The ‘Generate Podcast’ feature summarizes information from a PDF and converts it into an audio file, allowing users to choose between different voice options. Availability of these tools depends on subscription levels, with podcast generation requiring the ‘Acrobat AI Assistant Plus’ add-on or an Acrobat Studio subscription.

Additional upgrades include the ability to convert documents into interactive reports or summary slides, an ‘Analyzer’ tool for extracting structured data from large document volumes, and a centralized knowledge base that synchronizes various file types with services such as SharePoint or Google Drive.
