Aerolíneas Argentinas service and route expansion

Aerolíneas Argentinas has implemented a series of service expansions and route developments. Initially, the airline increased weekly services between Buenos Aires and Viedma from four to six flights starting in August 2026, supported by tourism incentives such as discounts on hotels, excursions, and car rentals.

For the summer 2027 season, the airline is significantly expanding its international presence, particularly in the Caribbean and Brazil. New routes include five weekly flights to Cartagena, Colombia, starting January 1, and four weekly frequencies to Curacao starting January 2, consisting of two direct flights and two via Aruba. Regional connectivity will be enhanced by a new route between Córdoba and Cabo Frío, Brazil, beginning December 26, and the restoration of direct connections to Florianópolis from Tucumán and Salta. The airline will also maintain daily services from Córdoba and Rosario.

Domestically, the airline aims to increase its January 2027 seat capacity by 13% compared to the previous year, offering approximately 1.5 million seats. This includes reinforced service to major hubs such as Bariloche, Córdoba, Mendoza, and Iguazú. Mar del Plata will receive 31 weekly flights from Buenos Aires, along with new direct connections from Córdoba and Tucumán. This growth is driven by a 13% rise in domestic capacity and a 16% increase in regional operations. Additionally, Ushuaia reported record passenger numbers in July 2026, reaching 60,660 travelers, aided by new regular international flights from São Paulo, Brazil.
