The inaugural Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX 2026) opened on October 26 at Eko Atlantic in Lagos, Nigeria. Italy’s participation is highlighted by the aerospace company Leonardo, which is involved in significant defense cooperation with Nigeria, including the delivery of AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and the acquisition of M-346 aircraft. ASELSAN intends to showcase its air defense, electronic warfare, and precision-guided munitions portfolios to expand its presence in West Africa.
