Agricultural development in Ñuble region
Overview
Agricultural development initiatives have been launched in the Ñuble region of Chile to modernize local food production sectors.
In late September, a Technological Diffusion Program (PDT) was introduced to support 17 dairy farms within Aproleche Ñuble. Executed by the University of Concepción with a $72 million investment, the program focuses on integrating technology and technical assistance to improve milk quality, animal health, and herd management.
Following this, Corfo and the Regional Governor of Ñuble launched the Integrated Territorial Program (PTI) for Meat Embutidos in Chillán. This initiative aims to strengthen the regional cured meat industry, specifically supporting approximately 80 local producers to enhance the value chain, improve quality standards, and expand market opportunities.
