In software development, an AWS-commissioned study indicates that 82% of Hungarian developers use AI tools daily, saving an average of 6.5 working hours per week. The healthcare sector is also seeing progress, with 63% of private healthcare institutions utilizing AI-supported solutions. Recent data from the JabJab Online Marketing AI Traffic Index reveals a massive shift in digital engagement. Web traffic to Hungarian websites originating from AI platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini has increased a hundredfold in less than two years, surpassing a 1% total traffic threshold by summer 2026. News websites have experienced the most significant surge, with traffic from AI interfaces increasing six to seven times over a four-month period. However, this growth has not yet compensated for the decline in traditional search engine traffic. Between April and July 2026, AI-driven traffic covered only 4.7% of losses incurred from search engines. This suggests that AI tools may be retaining users within their own interfaces through summaries, reducing the necessity for users to click through to original sources.
