The Rostock District Court ruled in favor of a couple from Dortmund in a legal dispute against AIDA Cruises regarding a world cruise booked for 2025/26. The passengers sought a refund after ship modernizations resulted in the reduction and relocation of the advertised naturist (FKK) area.

While the plaintiffs requested a 22 percent reduction of their 68,600 Euro travel price, the court awarded a 5 percent reduction, totaling 3,430 Euro. The ruling was based on the finding that the cruise line created legitimate expectations through its published digital deck plans and failed to adequately inform passengers of these significant changes prior to departure.
