Aleksey Batrakov transfer interest

Overview

Galatasaray midfielder Aleksey Batrakov has attracted significant interest from major European clubs following strong performances in the UEFA Champions League. After scoring against Barcelona and Lille, the 21-year-old Russian player has been linked to several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

While Batrakov has a release clause estimated between €50 million and €55 million, potential transfers face several complications. Beyond the financial valuation, English clubs face geopolitical sanctions against Russia, which create difficulties regarding work permits for Russian nationals. Additionally, legal complexities exist regarding a clause that may require a portion of transfer profits to be paid to his former club, Lokomotiv Moscow.
