During the visit, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Maïga reaffirmed a commitment to transforming the Sahel into a peaceful zone free from terrorism and “neo-colonialism.” Maïga described the meeting as productive, noting a shared vision for development based on dignity and mutual respect. The discussions also addressed a broader regional vision involving the leaders of Niger and Burkina Faso within the framework of the Alliance of Sahel States.
