Netanyahu’s office has categorically rejected these claims, calling them a ‘total lie’ and ‘absolute lies.’ The Prime Minister’s office stated that a review of communication logs showed no evidence of such a call and has instructed lawyers to file a defamation lawsuit against Haaretz and journalist Shlomi Eldar. In response to the allegations, Israeli opposition leaders have called for an urgent investigation into the Prime Minister’s handling of intelligence prior to the attacks.
