The Allwyn Care ‘Life Savers’ initiative organized a community event in Nea Makri on September 5, 2026, to promote voluntary blood donation and bone marrow donor registration. The event was held at the ‘Thalpos’ hall in collaboration with Bloode, Choose Life, the Municipality of Marathon, and the Agios Savvas Cancer Hospital. Organizers aimed to replenish blood supplies, noting that in Greece, only 65% of blood needs are currently met and one in three patients lacks a compatible bone marrow donor. The Allwyn Hellas health initiative also focuses on promoting the importance of preventive cancer screenings. Following the Nea Makri event, the program is scheduled to move to Ioannina, with an upcoming action planned for September 15 at Mavili Square.
