Alpine endurance and competitive sports activities are being continue to be highlighted across Italy and Austria. In Italy, preparations are underway for major endurance events, including the Ötztaler Radmarathon cycling race in Sölden and the 54th Marcialonga Ski, which will feature multiple distances to increase accessibility. Concurrently, Austria, Italian athletes are participating in various competitions have participated in Austria. These include high-level competitions, including 22 members of the Italian youth national climbing team competing in the World Climbing Europe Youth Series in Imst, as well as Imst. Notable climbers include Gianluca Vighetti, Giovanni Bagnoli, and Margherita Pernigotti. Additionally, Italian triathletes completing Biagio Puzzolante, Michele Lecce, and Giovanni Placentino completed the IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun. See-Kaprun, which featured a swim in Lake Zell and a cycling course through Alpine terrain. In Italy, extreme endurance events are underway. In the Tor des Glaciers (TOR450), Franco Collé has established a solo lead. Other recent Italian results include victories by Diego Zanardo and Rebeka Petrovcic in the Three Lakes Trail, and Sasha Starker in the Primiero MTB Marathon Master. The TUTTO BENE Hillclimb also featured 85 high-performance vehicles on the Mottarone. Looking forward, the “Corsa Sentiero del Sole” is scheduled for October 10 in Valle Aurina.
