To reinforce the service, the ULS announced that starting October 1, the oncology unit will include three doctors: resident oncologist Tomás Carvalho, who will be present five days a week in Portalegre and Elvas, and two service providers. The administration emphasized that these reorganizations are intended to meet increasing clinical needs rather than to cut costs.
