Amanda Seyfried professional boundaries regarding intimacy

Overview

Actress Amanda Seyfried has announced new professional boundaries regarding on-screen intimacy and nudity. Speaking at the Hamptons International Film Festival during an interview with Alec Baldwin, Seyfried revealed she recently rejected a television role because the script required frequent sex scenes.

Seyfried explained that her perspective has evolved with age. She noted that while she previously found filming intimate moments to be professional, she now feels discomfort with being “naked with a stranger.” She reflected on her early career at age 19, admitting she previously lacked the confidence to protest uncomfortable situations due to a fear of losing roles.

As a mother, Seyfried stated she is now more assertive about her limits to set a stronger example for her children. While she has not ruled out intimate roles entirely, she indicated she is currently “not into it” and will no longer participate in projects involving nudity or unconventional sexual scenes that do not align with her current values.
