Ample Strike 2026 military exercises in Czech Republic

The international military exercise Ample Strike 2026 commenced in the Czech Republic, scheduled to run from September 7 through September 17, 2026. The maneuvers involve nearly 600 soldiers, including 26 Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) teams from 19 different countries, focusing on coordination between air and ground forces.

Key training locations include the Boletice Military Training Area, Bechyně, České Budějovice, and Náměšť nad Oslavou. During the exercise, residents in South Bohemia were advised to expect increased noise from combat aircraft, Eurofighters, and helicopters. Authorities at České Budějovice Airport also issued warnings regarding prohibitions on photographing military objects.

In addition to the Ample Strike exercises, the Czech Republic hosted a veteran support sports tournament in Příbram. This event included teams from the Czech Army, the Czech Police, and an international contingent from the United States, specifically the 1st Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment. Proceeds from the tournament were designated for the Military Solidarity Fund and the Police and Firefighters Foundation.
