Angine de Poitrine musical career and tour expansion

Overview

Canadian math rock duo Angine de Poitrine has seen a rapid increase in popularity following a viral KEXP radio session. The group, known for their microtonal sound and papier-mâché masks, has received mixed reactions from the music community. While musicians such as Steven Wilson have described their ability to bring atonal music to a mainstream audience as “genius,” others like Devin Townsend have expressed skepticism regarding the group's hype.

Following a sold-out tour ending in mid-December, the duo has announced an extension of their global headline tour for 2027. The upcoming itinerary includes festival appearances in Australia, South America, and Europe, as well as various stops across North America, beginning in Melbourne and concluding in Chicoutimi, Canada.
