Antalya Tourism Fair 2026 preparations and program
Overview
Preparations for the 8th International Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF 2026), scheduled for October 26 to 28 at the ANFAŞ Congress and Tourism Center, have been finalized. During a press conference, Ayhan Gök, the Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, noted that Antalya’s tourism standing is comparable to major nations, suggesting that if the city were a country, it would rank 24th in the United Nations World Tourism Organization rankings. Kaan Kaşif Kavaloğlu, President of AKTOB, described the fair as a world-class event, while founder Selçuk Meral noted that the previous year’s fair hosted over 40,000 visitors.
The fair’s program, themed ‘Hospitality Intelligence,’ features over 130 speakers. Key components include the ATF Tourism Cities Summit and the inaugural ATF Tourism Media Awards, which recognized Kadir Toprakkaya, Işık Tuncel, and Seyit Konyalı for excellence in journalism. Regional hubs like Alanya are using the platform for B2B meetings to promote Seljuk heritage and sports tourism.
As the fair commenced on October 26, industry leaders gathered to discuss the sector's future. Davut Günaydın, Vice President of TÜRSAB, called for a new roadmap focused on increasing revenue rather than just visitor volume. He noted that despite geopolitical tensions and market challenges in Russia, Iraq, and Iran, Turkey remains strong, with approximately 80% of Antalya’s tourists arriving through organized distribution channels. Additionally, the Nevşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated to promote Cappadocia’s international visibility and sustainable development.
