Antoni Gaudí cultural and architectural programming

Overview

Cultural initiatives celebrating the legacy of Antoni Gaudí have emerged in Spain, focusing on both technological immersion and educational outreach.

In Barcelona, the exhibition ‘Código Gaudí, la experiencia inédita’ has opened at Espai Imagina. Organized by Mediapro Xperiences and the Cátedra Gaudí of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the showcase uses virtual, augmented, and mixed reality to present unbuilt architectural designs, such as a virtual reconstruction of the 1908 Hotel Attraction in New York.

Concurrently, El Capricho de Gaudí has launched family-oriented programming for Architecture Week to mark World Architecture Day. This is part of the ‘El Camino de Gaudí’ project, which links Gaudí’s buildings in Comillas, León, and Astorga with the Sagrada Família in Barcelona to introduce his work to younger generations ahead of the centenary of his death in 2026.
