Apple TV+ is rolling out second-season launches for several original series in 2026. In mid-July, the service confirmed that the German dark-comedy *Where’s Wanda?* will return for an eight-episode run beginning 21 October, with new episodes each Wednesday through 9 December. At San Diego Comic-Con, Apple TV+ unveiled the official trailer for *Dark Matter* Season 2, confirming a 10-episode schedule that premieres globally on Friday 28 August and runs weekly through 30 October. The season, based on Blake Crouch’s novel, features three intertwined storylines involving the Dessen family, Daniela’s paranoia, and new characters pursuing divergent goals. Returning cast members include Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, and Oakes Fegley, with new additions such as Chris Diamantopoulos, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, and Amanda Brugel. Executive producer Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry noted that while a third season has not been officially renewed, the show was “originally designed as a trilogy.” Following its premiere, the second season has begun releasing new episodes. The second episode, “A Perfect World,” follows the Dessens as they seek a safe haven after fleeing a reality where Amanda had to kill an alternate version of Jason. The third episode, “Everything Beautiful, Everything Terrible,” reveals that the Box cannot be permanently destroyed, as it automatically reforms in any reality where its physical structure has been dismantled. As Jason Dessen grapples with the technology, Ryan and Amanda reach Ryan’s original world, where they find the U.S. government, specifically DARPA, is investigating the phenomenon and hunting Jason variants. By late September, the second season earned a “certified fresh” rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The fifth episode, “Love and Be Loved,” released on 25 September 2026, is a “character-driven, quiet installment” focusing on a different Jason variant who encounters his mother in a reality where he died as a teenager. ~~In the seventh episode, “The Pyramid,” the narrative explores the consequences of traveling through the Box.~~
