The Association of Television and Radio Journalists of Argentina (APTRA) held the 2026 MartÃn Fierro de Radio awards at the Goldencenter in Parque Norte, recognizing excellence across 32 categories in AM and FM broadcasting. Hosted by Luciana Rubinska and Luis Novaresio, the ceremony honored productions from the 2025 period.

Notable winners included MarÃa O'Donnell, who received the MartÃn Fierro de Oro and the award for best female journalistic work for her program ‘De acá en más’ on Urbana Play. Radio Mitre was the most successful station with six awards, including honors for Eduardo Feinmann (Best Male Journalistic Work) and MarÃa Isabel Sánchez (Best Female Hosting).

Radio Rivadavia also achieved significant recognition, with ‘El Rotativo del Aire’ winning Best News Service, Willy Kohan awarded Best Political Columnist, and Jonatan Viale winning for Best Daily Evening News Program in AM with ‘Pan y circo’. Other recipients included Paulo Vilouta for Best Male Hosting on La Red and Rolando Graña for Best Morning Journalistic Program on Splendid.

The event featured tributes to Julio Lagos and a memorial for the late Ernestina Pais.

During the event, APTRA President Luis Ventura defended the relevance of radio and the autonomy of the awards. He addressed internal criticisms from members Daniel Ambrosino and Damián Rojo, who had raised concerns regarding organizational management, communication channels, and financial transparency. Ventura rejected claims that the radio medium is declining and defended the entity’s decision-making processes.
