Arena Santo Domingo development

Overview

The Arena Santo Domingo, a new multipurpose venue located on Avenida Jacobo Majluta in Santo Domingo Norte, is scheduled to open in November.

Entrepreneur Saymon Díaz reported that the facility is nearing completion, with current efforts focused on installing climate control systems. Designed to host concerts, theatrical plays, sporting events, and corporate activities, the arena has a seating capacity of approximately 9,300 to 9,500, with the potential to accommodate up to 10,000 spectators. The site will also include roughly 5,000 parking spaces.

Built to international standards, the venue features advanced safety systems, including acoustic panels, high-standard fire suppression, and over 30 emergency exits. The modular design was imported from Europe to support high-level technical productions. The inaugural opening in November will feature Dominican artists to test operations and public flow, with an international artist expected to be announced in the future.
