Argentina health infrastructure expansion

In late July 2026 the Argentine government highlighted a push to strengthen the nation’s health system. The following day, Argentine hospitals reported concrete clinical achievements that illustrate the expanding capacity. At Hospital Justo José de Urquiza in Concepción del Uruguay, surgeons performed the facility’s first chest‑wall reconstruction on a patient with severe rib fractures, using specialized STRACOS clips. Meanwhile, the newly opened Hospital René Favaloro, in partnership with the Hospital Escuela de Agudos “Dr. Ramón Madariaga”, completed its 200th MOHS surgery, a gold‑standard skin‑cancer treatment, demonstrating the hospital’s ability to deliver advanced dermatologic and plastic‑surgical care.
