Argentine beef export promotion strategy

The Argentine Beef Promotion Institute (IPCVA) has launched an international strategy to expand beef exports, specifically targeting European and Israeli markets.

In preparation for the SIAL Paris 2026 food industry fair, the IPCVA planned a 1,000-square-meter pavilion to showcase the industry’s ability to meet new environmental standards, such as European Union deforestation regulations. This initiative aims to capitalize on potential commercial openings, including those resulting from the EU-Mercosur agreement and restrictions currently facing Brazilian beef exports.

Following the participation in the Paris fair, the IPCVA expanded its efforts to Israel through a commercial mission involving the Argentine government and PromArgentina. This mission included meetings with local importers and the Israeli rabbinate to coordinate logistics for kosher slaughtering processes, which are vital for maintaining market access. The strategy combines large-scale trade fair presence in France with targeted diplomatic and religious engagement in Israel to consolidate Argentina’s global food industry position.
