Argentine university admissions and accreditation updates

Overview

Argentine universities and the Ministry of University Education are implementing various administrative updates regarding admissions and program accreditation.

In the health sciences sector, the National University of San Juan (UNSJ) extended its Medicine program registration deadline to September 29, 2026. Additionally, the National University of Salta (UNSa) received six-year accreditation from the National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation (CONEAU) for three postgraduate programs in public health and nutrition.

Regarding general admissions, the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCUYO) scheduled entrance exams for approximately 2,500 applicants for its secondary schools, with testing occurring in late September and early October. Simultaneously, the Ministry of University Education has launched measures to enroll 1,297 high school graduates who did not secure spots through the National Admission System (SNI) despite high academic averages. Universities are currently contacting these students to formalize their enrollment and prevent academic delays.
