Overview
Efforts to strengthen operational technology (OT) cybersecurity resilience in the Asia-Pacific region have progressed through practical training and academic partnerships.
In August 2026, the OT Information Sharing and Analysis Center (OT-ISAC) and Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) conducted a ‘Predictive Resilience Exercise’ in Bangkok. The training focused on decision-making under uncertainty and the ability to recognize ‘weak signals’ before incidents are fully understood, emphasizing the need for better collaboration between IT and OT teams.
By October 2026, the OT-ISAC expanded its focus toward research and intelligence through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). This partnership aims to enhance critical infrastructure preparedness via threat intelligence sharing and hands-on testing through SUTD’s iTrust Centre for Research in Cyber Security.
