In late July 2026, Xiaomi unveiled the SkyNomad (also referred to as the Pengcheng) SUV series under its new SkyNomad sub-brand. Built on the flat-floor Kunlun platform, the models include the N70 and N90 (including the N90 Max). These extended-range electric vehicles (EREV) utilize dual electric motors paired with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline generator that serves solely as a range-extender. Technical specifications highlight a combined CLTC range of up to 1,705 km. The N90 Max is a seven-seat flagship, while the N70 Max is a five-seat all-wheel-drive model. The N70 Max features a 0-100 km/h acceleration of approximately 5.5 to 5.9 seconds, powered by a 310 kW output. Interior features include modularity such as rotating front seats, a loft-style sleeping platform, and a “Camping Edition” with a pop-up roof and built-in projector. Safety systems include LiDAR and the Xiaomi HAD assisted driving system powered by the NVIDIA Thor chip. Pricing in China is approximately 259,900 yuan for the N70 and 299,900 yuan for the N90. Within a week of launch, more than 100,000 reservations were recorded. On September 3, 2026, Chairman Lei Jun announced that the N90 Max is scheduled for an official launch on September 7 at 7:00 PM. The large seven-seater SUV will feature a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system and a high-end chassis with air springs and continuous damping variable shock absorbers. The N90 Max offers a CLTC pure electric range of 464 km and a total combined range of 1,705 km. Pre-sale prices for the model are estimated at approximately 300,000 yuan. On September 11, 2026, Xiaomi Auto announced that nationwide deliveries for the Pengcheng series would begin on September 12, covering 75 cities across China. The lineup includes the N70 Pro (starting at 209,900 yuan), the N70 Max, the N90 Max, and the N90 Max Explorer Edition.
