Aston Martin DBX GT luxury SUV launch
Overview
Aston Martin has unveiled the 2026 DBX GT, a luxury SUV designed to prioritize refinement and passenger comfort over the aggressive, track-focused approach of the DBX S. The model aims to compete with high-end alternatives such as the Ferrari Purosangue and Lamborghini Urus.
While it retains the high-performance 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 727 hp and 900 Nm of torque, the GT features a chassis tuned for smoothness through specialized damper settings. Technical refinements include recalibrated adaptive air suspension with new internal damper valves, a more progressive accelerator response, and a retuned nine-speed automatic transmission for smoother shifts. The vehicle maintains a top speed of approximately 310–311 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.1 to 3.3 seconds.
Key upgrades include redesigned front and rear seats with an additional 10 mm of memory foam and enhanced bolstering. To improve the acoustic environment, the manufacturer has added extra insulating materials and laminated rear glass, claiming a 13% improvement in their internal metric for “cabin conversational ease”.
Visually, the DBX GT adopts a more discreet aesthetic, featuring a double-vaned radiator grille, two-piece metal side strakes inspired by traditional watchmaking, and body-colored bumpers, side sills, and diffusers. The vehicle comes standard with 22-inch forged wheels and all-season tires, though 23-inch wheels are available as an option.
In conjunction with the vehicle launch, Aston Martin has officially opened ‘Q London’ in Mayfair. This flagship bespoke center serves as a high-end hub for the brand’s ‘Q by Aston Martin’ personalization service, allowing clients to customize vehicles with extensive material and design options. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027.
